To see someone's aura here's what you will need to do
Have a friend sit or stand in front of a blank white wall. Stand across the room from your friend. Now relax. Simply let yourself gaze at a space above the top of your friends head. Don't work at it (because then you will start getting tense). You will probably see a white or yellowish glow/light pretty soon. Keep looking, and widen your focus to a few inches away from the skin. Remember to try not looking at it directly. When you strain to see something, you are using the focus meant for the physical world, and it will make the energy field disappear. Gaze at the space as if you were listening to or reading about something that was really, really boring. Soon you will start to see the glow/light extends further out, and you will start to see colors. That is the human aura.
If you still can't see it, have your friend try to visualize his/her energy expand, and you should see the light/glow become brighter.
The average human aura only extends about a few feet from the body, but most people can't see it past six feet or so.
p.s. In the beginning you won't be able to see much of the aura maybe like a few inches, but remember with practice you will be able to see more.

Aura: should you begin to see aura's of people and also very commonly animals, you might notice that they are differnet colors, look into the meanings of Aura colors to find out what kind of person they are...My dog has a blue aura "good natured and a protector" Goodluck and keep practicing.

Personally I don't now much about aura's as I cannot see them, so I'm not sure if you would be able to see someone's aura in a photo but as far as the colours go, I think that's relative to your own point of view as what the colour red symbolises for one person is not how another see's it.

Yes you can see someones aura in a photograph but you would have to be very advanced in aura viewing. There are actually some photographers that can take pictures of peoples auras. As for the meanings of the colors I recommend you goto www.reiki-for-holistic-health.com/auracolormeanings.html and they have a list of color meanings.

do I have to do meditation exercises so I could be able to see a person's aura? Well you don't have to but it does help you with it. I know I've been working with leanring to see ppl's auras and so far I can only do it when I'm in certain moods, but meditation and patience help loads. Well that's my opinion anyway.
